Drivers liked the ample free parking and the easy access to highway I-40 in the western outskirts of Albuquerque. It was reportedly easy to reach downtown Albuquerque plus area attractions, golf courses, historic sites, museums and the airport. Reviewers were pleased that there were several places to eat in the surrounding area including two restaurants that were just steps away. There was also a convenient petrol station next door.

Although the free Wi-Fi network was welcomed by many guests, some critics claimed they encountered a spotty signal or sluggish speeds at times.

Some light sleepers remarked that certain rooms facing the main road were exposed to occasional traffic noise. Others commented they could hear nuisance noise from adjacent rooms too easily from time to time. Stale smoky smells were off-putting for travellers in several rooms.

Maintenance and cleanliness issues were reported by disappointed guests in some rooms. These included inadequately cleaned bed linens and bathrooms, sporadic housekeeping visits, litter leftover from previous guests, cigarette burns and non-functioning power outlets.
