Conveniently located just off US-80, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mesquite Dallas is a charming low rise property offering reliable chain hotel style accommodation. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. They are simply furnished and decorated, but include all the modern conveniences you could need, including air conditioning, cable TV and high speed Wi-Fi. Guests keeping in shape on the road have access to a fully equipped fitness center, while business people have access to meeting rooms if required. Motorists will find ample onsite parking, including bays for trucks and buses. A simple continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room every morning. The Mesquite Diner is right next door and serves All-American diner fare in a great atmosphere. Starplex Cinema’s have a multiplex right across the way that shows all the latest blockbusters. Downtown Dallas is 13 miles to the west.
Guests liked the location for a number of reasons. Firstly, it was near both a couple of good restaurants and a multiplex. They felt they could eat well and even get a bit of entertainment, without having to travel too far. Secondly, they enjoyed the convenience of being right by the highway exit, making it easy to get to Dallas and elsewhere.

A number of guests mentioned that the smell of tobacco smoke hit them almost as soon as they entered the property. Several spoke about booking a non-smoking room, only to have the room itself smell like tobacco or marijuana smoke. Asthmatics should take note.
Guests thought that the hotel was very basic indeed, with relatively poor service and amenities. Considering al this they felt that the room rate they paid was much too high and that they did not receive even adequate value for money.
There were very nearly no positive comments relating to the staff. Guests felt that they were indifferent, at best. More usually, they were described as rude, condescending and not at all in possession of the personality requirements of the hospitality profession.
