Goodwood Motor Circuit is 16 miles’ drive away – 31 minutes' drive if you keep to the speed limit.
A great majority of guests have only good things to say about the breakfast offered at the hotel, saying it more than filled any gaps they may have had, and made for a perfect start to the day- all with a wonderful view over the sea. Also mentioned, however, were the fairly restrictive breakfast hours, so guests should check the times before committing.
Contrary to some previous guest house experience, some were pleasantly surprised to find more than just one or two teabags and a sachet of shampoo in their rooms, describing what was supplied as very generous.
Unlike many other guest houses, the rooms at East Beach were described as large enough to move around comfortably, with enough hanger and wardrobe space to unpack if you were staying for more than a day or two.
There is a karaoke machine in the lounge, and if a group really takes to it, it can go on until quiet late, causing disruption for guests trying to sleep.
This was not a major complaint, but a couple of guest mentioned that the beds were a bit too short for them. Tall guests may need to ask if the guest house has rooms with larger king-size beds.
