Hotel Dungimmon House (Cavan, Ireland)

This house is impeccably arranged, immaculately clean and the grounds are quite stunning. Superb for your base from which to explore the region, primarily the numerous County Cavan attractions and those of lovely Enniskillen. Also ideal as a more affordable spot to stay if you're attending a wedding at the Slieve Russell Hotel, which is about five minutes' drive away. The guest lounge/library offers a wide selection of reading material for your perusal beside a log stove fire with a cup of hot tea or coffee throughout the day. There's plenty of parking. A delicious breakfast is served daily in the dining room aside French windows opened to overlook the beautifully-manicured gardens. Choose from the standard continental options or enjoy a Full Irish, French toast or other hot dishes prepared fresh with meats and eggs purchased locally. You'll probably want the bread recipe!

Gorgeous, tidy rooms are well-appointed with quality amenities and very spacious with large bathrooms as well.

The owners are friendly and accommodating, full of information on the area and willing to go above and beyond.

Although close in driving distance, this spot is over half an hour's walk to the Slieve Russell. If you'll need a ride, please arrange that in advance. The owners may offer, but won't necessarily be available at all times. Also do note: this is not the place to bring your after-wedding party. Loud behaviour at late hours can disturb other guests and will not be tolerated.

Some have enjoyed the free Wi-Fi in their rooms while others could only connect in the lounge.

Although advertised as 'power showers', the showers in some units only provided a weak stream of low water pressure.
