Hotel Du Nord (Interlaken, Switzerland)

Du Nord boasts a convenient, central location, close to the Interlaken Ost train station. The local area is very walkable and close to shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Overall, guests were very pleased with their accommodations at Du Nord. The rooms are described as clean, spacious and bright, and the beds as comfortable. Most rooms also have great views of the city or the mountains. The friendly and attentive staff perfected the already great stay. Guests say they are always quick to respond to concerns.

Guests loved the free perks provided at Du Nord, especially the breakfast buffet. In addition, you will receive a card allowing you to use public transportation and the city bike share for free, and also be given complimentary access to the public pool and spa.

The onsite bar is quite popular and can be loud on select nights, and it's more noticeable in some rooms more than others. If you're a sensitive sleeper or plan on going to bed early, it may be a good idea to request a quieter room, and bring along earplugs as well.

Several guests complained about the Internet not working or simply having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, but said that the signal is much stronger in the lobby.

Since there is no air conditioning, the rooms can get quite stuffy, especially on hot summer days. Fortunately, there is a fan provided and the windows can be opened to create a breeze.
