Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Johnson City (Johnson City, USA)

The reception staff at the hotel were specifically singled out by a number of reviewers because they were very friendly and professional and it seems went out of their way to ensure that check-in was smooth and guests had all that they needed for a comfortable stay.

A number of visitors to the hotel were staying due to business and these travelers reviewed the hotel positively, commenting that the hotel was close to the Johnson city business district which let them easily attend meetings and enjoy meals at nearby restaurants and bars.

Guests who stayed on the executive floors were very happy with the size of the rooms including the appetizers and the breakfast that was available to them in the executive lounge.  These guests left comments for future travelers to upgrade to these rooms, to take advantage of the executive experience.

A number of guests had the common experience of waking up to a cold shower in the morning with the hot water systems struggling to cope with providing enough hot water at this peak time.   Comments across reviews were not complimentary when recounting this experience.

Some guests felt that the breakfast offered by the hotel was a little basic for what they had come to expect of the Doubletree chain. Guests commented that the breakfast was bland and there was a limited selection or less than quality items.

The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear and a number of guests pointed out in their reviews that management could fix leaking roofs, peeling wallpaper and running toilets to bring the hotel into line with others across the Doubletree brand.
