Hotel Domus Mea (Rome, Italy)

The hotel is close to some of Rome's best loved attractions. Guests state that the Colosseum is a fifteen minute walk from the front door and many other attractions are within a five mile radius.

The hotel is a smaller hotel but that means it is easier to keep up and clean. The rooms were all reported to have clean rooms and linens to use. The hotel is on the fifth floor of a residential building which guests stated made them feel as if they were a part of the culture.

With the close spacing of the hotel it takes on a small comfortable feeling that many guests really like. Many say they made good friends there, simply because they were in close proximity to them and saw them every day.

Because it is in the middle of town, this space is blindingly small and can become tiresome as several guests have said it's really hard not to bump into someone while passing them in the hallway.

The staff have been described as inattentive at the least, and rude at the most. Though some of the staff do speak English, they prefer not to and often will not respond, guests stated, even when it was clear they understood the request.

Do not let your guard down as you are required to leave your key every time you leave the hotel. Many guests have gone back within five minutes of leaving their keys to retrieve left goods in their room and have found housekeeping in their rooms looking through their belongings.
