It's all about the laid back vibes at this spot! Gorgeous views, beautiful gardens and just a short walk to the Mendocino Inn, Headlands State Park and Patterson's Pub. Homemade gourmet breakfasts are served family style in the common room or on the outdoor patio, featuring eggs and salsa, pancakes, caramel orange French toast, potatoes, Maine blueberries and yogurt. Local artists are highlighted in the lobby with a small gallery of their work on display for guests to enjoy. Dog-friendly accommodations are available. Don't forget to bring any instruments you may play so you can join in on the musical jam sessions!

Each unit is uniquely decorated with an assortment of features from the bare basics on up to four-poster beds, large jacuzzi tubs and wood-burning fireplaces. Choose front-facing for the best views.

A few may have mixed opinions, but mostly these friendly and easy-going hosts are excellent cooks and will assist with directions or suggestions on the area anytime.

Some are more inclined to enjoy this spot than others. A sink might be used as a nightstand here, and there aren't any coat hooks or hangers in some rooms. You may hear the sound of dogs barking and banjos playing fairly regularly in the halls or outside your windows. At breakfast, you might get a folding tray or otherwise will need to balance your plate on your lap.

Some may find an ant or two in their room; mention it to the hosts and they will attend to it right away with bug spray.

Bathroom fixtures are old and showing it. Aging carpeting is worn and dirty in some areas.
