The Diderot is a family-run hotel located in the old quarter of Chinon, close to all the restaurants, yet very calm. The hotel offers a choice of 27 rooms in 4 categories. Some sit on the ground-floor, some on the first and some on the second floor. Due to the historical nature of the buildings, there is no elevator. Each room is different, but all of them have private toilets and bathroom, some with a shower some with a bathtub. Ideally located to explore the Loire Valley, ist castles, its gardens and its wineries, the Diderot owes its reputation to its quiet, its garden, its staff, its impeccable rooms and its luscious breakfast, served next to the fireplace in Winter and on the terraces in Summer, with local products and a vast array of homemade jams.
