Casually decorated apartments boast full kitchens with a washer/dryer, as well as open-plan dining areas. Cable TV and climate control are also included. Diamond Sands offers a landscaped garden where guests can relax in the pavilion and take in the views of the lagoon. On-site parking is complimentary, and guests can enjoy many of the on-site water features. Meals can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchens, or try one of the many restaurants at the nearby Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, where there is something on offer for all tastes. Surfers Paradise is within a ten-minute drive from the property, the Q1 tower's SkyPoint Observation Deck is four miles away, and Jupiters Casino is only a short walk.
Almost all guests who travelled as part of a family were in agreement that this accommodation offered amenities for the entire family to enjoy. The lagoon-style pool was fun for the kids and their parents, and the beautiful gardens and barbecue area provided an area where families could enjoy a meal together.
There is a bus stop directly outside the apartments, and from there you can get to many of the exciting theme parks nearby. Many visitors didn't even use their own vehicles while on vacation, and preferred to use the reliable public transport system.
The front desk staff in particular where showered with compliments from guests about their friendly attributes. Whether you check in early or you have a late check in, the staff will be waiting to welcome you with open arms.
There have been several visitors who noticed that the building and rooms look like they could do with a bit of TLC. Guests felt the rooms were due for new furniture, as well as the fixtures and fittings that looked a bit worse for wear.
Guests paid for the use of the Internet, and having done that they were very disappointed by the intermittent and very slow service. You may just have to bring your own Internet cable with if you rely on a good connection.
