Derwent House is set in a lovely, quiet area with nice gardens. You'll find it really relaxing to spend some time there. It is pet-friendly too and there are great places nearby to walk the dog. It's also close to the sea and there is a pub just at the end of the street.

They will give you a warm welcome and will spend the remainder of your stay there ensuring you feel right at home, without ever being overbearing. They keep their establishment spotlessly clean as well and will cook you a really tasty and pretty healthy breakfast as well.
Guestrooms here are aesthetically pleasing. The furnishings are nice and everything is well placed and tidy, with good attention to detail. You'll find the atmosphere to be warm and comfortable.
The lighting outside the building isn't especially great, so if you head out in the evening it might be somewhat dark as you approach on your return. There is an automatic light but it doesn't seem to stay on for long. You might need to use the torch on your phone at times on the walk to and from the pub at night.
The stairs at Derwent House are quite steep and fairly narrow, so if you have mobility issues you might find them a struggle.
The water pressure in the showers isn't very strong and the temperature can be difficult to regulate. You might find that the shower-head is handheld and there may not be a shower curtain either.
