Hotel Derwent Bank (Keswick, United Kingdom)

The hotel has fabulous ground surrounding the main building. Guests who have reviewed the gardens have said how beautiful they are and how lovely it is to walk around them in the sun.

The hotel is orientated around walkers so they make a great effort to accommodate their needs such as a separate drying and boot room where you can also do laundry if needs be. The reviews explain how great this is to have as sometimes you can arrive back fairly dirty.

Keswick is a beautiful place and many reviews comment on easy it is to walk there and back if you decide to be on foot. There are many restaurants and quaint bars to try as well as retail stores.

There are three floors in total in the hotel and those with rooms above the ground floor must take their bags up the stairs. Some guests have said it didn't bother them too much but others such as elderly or disabled will most certainly have problems getting up and down.

The rooms have great reviews but unfortunately the hotel does not include air con. The comments from summer guests have said how hot the rooms get and it would be most beneficial for the hotel to get air con fitted.

The dinner tables are all shared with others guests. They are fairly large with a rotating table in the middle for guests to help themselves to food. Some have said it's very friendly and sociable however others who have stayed for a little quiet time have said it put them off.
