Situated in an elevated position, affording it spectacular views over Ornos Bay, the Hotel Deliades Hotel offers guests classical island near Ornos Beach The rooms are light and airy. They have cool tile flooring and feature en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, air conditioning, minibars flat screen TV’s, and in-room safes. The hotel’s star feature is its gorgeous pool terrace, with its views over the Aegean, Reception is open limited hours and can assist with tours, transfers, laundry and luggage storage. Wi-Fi is free of charge and available throughout the property. An American-style buffet breakfast is available every morning, and later in the day guests can order snacks and drinks from the poolbar. Hotel Deliades Hotel is barely 100 yards from Ornos Beach, so guests will never be short of opportunities to experience a wide range of watersports. Mykonos Ferry Terminal, from where ferries to fascinating Delos can be boarded, is four miles to the north.
The location close to the lovely Ornos Beach was by far what guests most liked about Deliades. They had, after all, come to the island for a bit of a beach break, and were happy to be so close to the main object of their travels.
It was difficult to find anyone with anything bad to say about the breakfast offered at Deliades. It was said to be traditionally Greek ,and served n sufficient quantities to satisfy guests. At least until lunch.
Several guests mentioned how spacious their room was. They sounded relieved that they wouldn't be crammed into a small room and always bumping into their roommate and fraying each other's nerves.
As with many hotels, Deliades came in for a lot of criticism because of its poor Wi-Fi. The main problem seemed to be that rooms far from reception either got no signal at all, or a very weak and unreliable signal.
A surprising number of people were unhappy with the hotel's pool. While they conceded that the terrace did offer a great view and atmosphere, the pool itself was described as too small for actual swimming. Good for a quick plunge to cool down, and that was it.
As with pretty much all the traditional buildings in Mykonos, there are lots of stairs and no lifts. To most, this was no issue at all, but people with serious mobility problems will need to discuss their room options directly with the hotel.
