The pub sits on the busy Darby Street which travellers say is the dining and nightlife hub. Guests also enjoyed the close proximity of the beach and dockside, and described the accommodation as a prime spot for exploring the surroundings.
The refurbished rooms were finished to a high standard with a modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Guests loved the good linen, and felt the price they paid was worth every cent. Even the soundproofing in the rooms was excellent as they were not disturbed by noisy patrons coming back from the bar.
The pub food served here has received many compliments from visitors. There is an extensive menu available to suite many different tastes, but the Monday night schnitzel is definitely one of the favourites.
Guests did complain about the blinds not fitting the window, the bathroom doors not closing properly, and some of the appliances going on the blink; however maintenance was quick off the mark to get these issues resolved.
