Built in the eighteenth century, Hotel De Sèze is a luxury hotel located near the centre of Bordeux. Guests are very impressed with the staff here who are ready and willing to help as much as possible leaving visitors feeling well cared for. The staff are bilingual and approachable so that even non-French speakers can get along here with ease.
The hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the town where guests will find many restaurants, cafes and bars in addition to the public gardens and riverside. Many have commented on the beautiful surrounds and with an underground car park opposite the property venturing further afield is not an issue.
The rooms are immaculately clean and guests find the design to be charming and elegant. The beds are very comfortable and the newly renovated bathrooms are well equipped.
A common issue at this hotel is the size of the rooms, particularly in the classic and deluxe options. Guests feel that they do not have enough room to store luggage and in some case risk hitting heads on the overhead beams.
There appears to be a drainage issue in quite a few of the showers leading to overflow on the bathroom floor which can detract from the luxury feel of the hotel.
While guests enjoy their stay many feel that the hotel falls on the more expensive side of a budget. Not all room include breakfast and access to the spa both of which come at an extra cost that guest feel is unnecessary.
