Hotel De Looier (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

The quiet but cool area where De Looier is located is close to bars, cafes and shops, a grocery store, and is within easy walking distance of many of Amsterdam’s main attractions, including Anne Frank House and Leidseplein.

Guests have been happy with the complimentary Wi-Fi here, and particularly the speed of it.

If you are travelling and want a basic, relatively low-budget option for sleeping, with a decent enough breakfast as long as you get there on time, you’ll get what you pay for at De Looier.

Guests have generally found the hotel and its rooms to be in clear need of refurbishment, with sometimes low standards of cleanliness, the occasional smell and tired towels.

Although a 15-minute walk will take you to most of Amsterdam’s attractions, some found the relaxed Jordaan location to be too far away from the centre of the action.

A number of people found the hotel to be overpriced, particularly since they found it to be more like a hostel than a hotel, while others were unhappy with small rooms, lumpy beds, and thin walls leading to noise from other guests.
