Hotel de l'Horloge (Paris, France)

The positive reviews were given to the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff of this hotel. They were warm and responsive and seemed to be there all the time. They helped guests with every question and everything they needed including calling taxis and assisting in leaving luggage after check-out time. Moreover, they spoke good English which aided foreign guests to talk to them easily.

Although the property is located just off the main street, guests are delighted as it is quiet and feels very safe because the area is in a gated alleyway that has easy access to the metro. The Rue Ménilmontant where supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and bakeries can be found is also nearby.

The rooms were clean and comfy while the bathroom and kitchenette were well stocked according to guests. Housekeepers supplied clean towels and cleaned up the rooms every day. Furthermore, there were lots of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in the bathroom.

Most guests were disappointed because the rooms were very small. They found the bedroom and bathroom very compact that it was just enough for a solo traveller. Moreover, there were no outside space where guests could hang out.

Despite providing fans, guests still complained that there was no air conditioning system in this hotel. It can get unusually hot in Paris so this has become a major problem for guests.

The stairs are steep and narrow that is why guests suggested that those who do not want inconvenience in carrying their luggage to the upper rooms must get ground floor rooms. There are no elevators here so each one must be careful in climbing the steep stairs.
