Situated in an ideal location just minutes’ walk from the Champ de Mars and Eiffel Tower, Hotel De l’Alma offers guests comfortable modern accommodation in a cosy family-run property. The spacious rooms are decorated in pastel colours, and feature en-suite bathrooms, minibars, TV’s with cable channels, in-room safes and telephones. Reception is open 24 hours and offers full concierge services. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and there is also a communal computer in the lobby. A continental breakfast is available every morning. In fine weather it is served in the delightful courtyard. For other meals, the city of haute cuisine awaits just beyond the doors. De l’Alma is close to the Eiffel Tower, just 800 yards away. Notre Dame Cathedral is about 2.4 miles from the hotel, and the Louvre perhaps a bit closer.

While De l'Alma did come in for its share of criticism, no guest found fault with its location. It was the star feature in the guest's eyes. It is described as being just a very short walk to the Eiffel Tower, and also conveniently close to several metro stations. From these guests found that the whole of Paris became accessible to them.
Despite its central location, several guests expressed their astonishment with just how quiet it was at night, even those with road facing rooms. It seems the hotel is fortunate enough to be in a quiet side street in a very central neighbourhood.
Again and again guests went out of their way to say that they considered the surrounding neighbourhood to be very safe, not worrying about walking around at night and so on.
It was very hard to find anything good written about the hotel's breakfast. It is described as very meagre, something like the “coffee and croissant” stereotype, and certainly not enough to get guests through to lunch. It may be best to forego this in favour of a breakfast at a nearby café.
Quite a few guests mentioned that the bulbs used to light the hallways must have exceptionally low wattage. They were described as very dark and dingy, and also too narrow for comfort.
While complaints about bed comfort are inevitable, given personal mattress hardness preferences, there were perhaps a bit too many guests mentioning uncomfortable beds to be ignored.
