In desperate need of renovation

This was by far the most common, and most serious, complaint. Guests simply felt that the hotel was looking very shabby. It was not only that the décor was dated, which it was, but that the whole property looked unloved and uncared for.

Unfriendly and unprofessional owner/manager

Guests did not think very highly of the person running the hotel, who was described as either the owner or manager. A number of guests said that he was very rude and did not have an appropriate customer service attitude for the hospitality business.

Guest after guest reported that both their rooms and the public areas of the hotel were in a very poor state of cleanliness for the entire time they were at the hotel. Dirty carpets and bug infestations were tow common complaints, but there were certainly more than juts these.
