The whole purpose of a visit here is to relax, unwind and forget about the pressures of modern day life - and what a wonderful solution it proves to be. The cabins (4) have been hand-crafted by the (brilliant) owner. They are designed to give you a very real insight into life in this rainforest environment - without having to sacrifice those essential home comforts.
You'll notice that in shops, restaurants, etc; everyone is so friendly and laid back. Nobody more so than the owner here. He's quite likely to invite you to his own BBQ ... and to introduce you to the art of splitting coconuts with an axe!
There's no mains power here; no street lights or illuminated signs. If at all possible, aim to arrive during the daylight hours and avoid the hassle of trying to find the place in the pitch black of night.
If you are to explore the region to its full advantage, you really do need a car. Avid walkers, though, will no doubt, tackle Mount Sorrow -without the blink of an eye.
There are deterrents so no real problem with insects but, if you are ultra sensitive, just the knowledge that they are nearby might prove to be something of a turn-off.
