Culcreuch Castle dates back to the 14th Century and stands within 1,600 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens. It has been the ancestral home of the Scottish Clan Galbraith for over seven centuries and today this family still live here, although they have recently converted a part of the castle into a 3 star hotel. The setting of Culcreuch Castle has ensured that it has become a popular location for weddings, short romantic breaks or other functions. It also has conference and meeting rooms that are available for hire. There are 10 rooms within the main building and 3 family rooms in the former stables area. Each of the rooms have been individually designed and enjoy views across either the gardens or the loch, and most of the rooms feature four poster beds. Culcreuch Castle is located in Fintry approximately 27 kilometres to the west of Stirling in Fife. It has its own licensed restaurant called “Arthur’s Seat” which is open to the general public as well as the guests of the hotel.
