Hotel Crystal Suites (Texas City, USA)

For many guests, the rates at Crystal Suites represented a significant value. Like other hotels in the Galveston area the rates go up as the tourists arrive in the summer, but this hotel still managed to keep their prices reasonable. Several guests chose this hotel because they found it to be the lowest cost at the time that they stayed.

Previous guests very much enjoyed the hotel's indoor pool and hot tub. They felt that it was a nice size, and that it was kept adequately clean.

Most of the other hotels in the area not only tend to be priced higher than Crystal Suites, but very few include a kitchenette in the room like Crystal Suites does. For guest, this feature was a pleasant surprise that exceeded their expectations of the in-room amenities.

Crystal Dawn has received complaints form some guests about finding bugs in their rooms and common areas. The complaints included sightings of spiders crawling on the fitness center equipment and piles of dead flies in the hallways, but the most grievous problem was the many guests that reported finding bed bugs.

A number of reviews noted that significant portions of the hotel fixtures and amenities are in need of replacement. They noticed fraying carpets, cracks in the ceiling, burnt out light bulbs, and stains on the sheets and blankets.

Several previous guests felt that the rooms are not cleaned properly. During their stays they found hair on the bed sheets, layers of dust in the bathrooms, and an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke permeating the facility among other issues.
