Guests pointed out that the hotel is close to the town center and the lake, with idyllic views of the mountains and a serene atmosphere. They especially liked the fact that the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park was only a ten-minute drive away.

The hotel features different room types and some no-frills ones that have yet to be renovated, which means they are a lot cheaper than the newer units which include items like a fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave. Guests appreciated this scaled approach, because it allows you to make a choice on how much you want to spend, and this also makes this property a lot more affordable than other ones in the Rocky Mountains area.

According to many guests, the staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating and very efficient during the check-in and check-out process.

Some guests noted that the walls connecting the motel rooms were rather thin, so they could hear other guests' conversations and activities. A few also mentioned that their air-conditioners didn't work all the time.

As guests pointed out, the old mattresses tend to be a bit uncomfortable, and taking a shower wasn't always too pleasant since the water pressure was all but non-existent at times and the temperature would fluctuate heavily.

Several guests noted that when they first entered their room, they found the carpet to be stained, the sheets and pillows to be dirty and some dead bugs in the corners and under the furniture.
