Courtyard by Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Plantation is a 100% is a non-smoking property which is great for those who don't imbibe and prefer that their room smell fresh and not like acrid, second-hand smoke.

This hotel is located in a quiet part of the city, yet it is a short walk away from restaurants, entertainments and shopping. You are close to many popular tourist destinations here as well as the beach, and it's only 15 miles to downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

Much of this hotel has recently been renovated and the guest rooms really tell the tale. Clean, fresh decor, comfortable beds, soft linens and new furnishings make for a really great stay.

Other than service animals, Courtyard by Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Plantation does not accept pets. This is unfortunate for those who like to travel with their favorite four-legged friends especially in light of all the great beaches and parks that are located nearby.

The WiFi is spotty and a bit slow in the guest rooms which could be problematic if you are traveling on business, have kids who want to use their devices or simply want to get an email out in a hurry. Luckily, you can upgrade to high-speed Internet for a fee or use your devices in the public spaces where the WiFi is spot-on.

Although the hotel restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, they do not serve lunch which could be a bit of a drag. However, there are lots of great little laces to eat within walking distance of the hotel or you can drive to Ismorada Fish Company, about eight miles away, for fresh seafood.
