Plenty of choice with eggs, waffles, bacon and waffles in good supply. The coffee leaves a lot to be desired though. Following breakfast, there's plenty to do and lots of places to visit. Don't miss out on a trip to Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens.
There's a great welcome from the front desk staff - *no sullen faces here! -and check in is easy and quick. Staff members throughout are cheerful and effective. No doubt their jobs are made easier by the fact that most things are good here, so guest complaints are minimal. Even the WiFi works well!
The room lacks the promised refrigerator. Maybe they aren't included in the cheaper rooms-but it's not made apparent. The beverage vending machine appears to have gone walkabout too.
Nothing major, just niggling problems like: no battery in TV remote, dust accumulation in the air vents and a very strong smell of smoke … in a non-smoking room. Day to day cleaning is iffy and towels aren't changed regularly. Don't know if it's the area or the hotel, but the water supply stinks and tastes awful.
Only scalding hot water in the bath + the only way to sort it is to carry cold water from the sink. Water/plumbing problems continue with the toilet almost overflowing with every flush.
