Hotel Continental Palacete (Barcelona, Spain)

Continental Palacete features grand, old-fashioned decor including chandeliers, quirky little details throughout and romantic, pink furnishings in the bedrooms.

The complimentary buffet is available of the day, including a wide array of sweet and savoury options, beer, coffee and tapas; great if you want the flexibility to eat whenever you need, the dining room is lovely and it is not bad for your holiday budget

The staff members at Continental Palacete are great all round, however the friendly reception clerks were particularly praised for their helpful suggestions.

Some guests found the rooms here to be overwhelmingly pink, and the elegance to be faded, with an upgrade needed, in their opinion. This may indeed have happened, since internal works were underway in the middle of 2015.

While most of those who stayed were happy with the free buffet food, a handful were really unhappy with the plastic cutlery and plates, an unchanging variety of food and what they deemed to be poor quality fare.

While there were not any real problems reported with the Wi-Fi connection, a few guests did find it to be slower than they would have liked.
