When it came to breakfast, former guests were generally thrilled with what they received at the College Guest House. The traditional full Welsh breakfast was praised for both its freshness and overall quality.

A drawback of the College Guest House being housed in a Georgian town house is the substandard soundproofing - according to some of those that have previously stayed at the accommodation. It is claimed that noise from others staying at the guest house can be bothersome.

Although a unique scenario, various past guests were inconvenienced by the guest house's location. Whilst just a short stroll from the town centre, it has been noted that the accommodation is positioned on a step hill - something that has been problematic on occasion.

For a number of former visitors that used the facility, the Wi-Fi supplied by the College Guest House was not to the standard expected. In particular, the range of the Wi-Fi was criticised at times, with it said that rooms on the higher floors can struggle to pick up a connection.
