Hotel Cobblestone Inn (Carmel-by-the-Sea, USA)

The Inn is located in a quiet, residential area, not far from shops, restaurants and the beach. This gives the best of both worlds - peace and quiet and at the same time proximity to the local places of interest.

The complimentary breakfast is a great advantage here. Since new management took over in July 2015, guests have appreciated the varied, continental breakfast. There is also a complimentary wine and appetizer reception in the evening, featuring local wines, which is very much enjoyed by the guests.

Guests have found the staff here friendly and willing to help. Rylee and Kayla, in particular, have been very helpful, say guests.

The rooms in the Inn feel rather compact and somewhat confining, although they are quite charming, with real fireplaces. Likewise, the bathrooms are rather compact, which doesn't always suit guests.

It has been felt that the look of the Inn is rather dated and also that the fixtures and fittings have become worn out and are in need of refurbishing and replenishing. However, it has been noted that since July 2015, new management has taken over and there is hope for a complete overhaul.

The Cobblestone Inn offers free parking at a location nearby, which is quite acceptable for most of the guests. However, some guests have issues with the parking system here. Apparently, difficult parking is a characteristic of this part of town.
