The breakfast is a simple continental with great coffee and fresh fruit. Walking distance to Boundary Bay Brewery, plenty of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, pubs and the weekend Farmer's Market, as well as good proximity to the freeway and Western Washington University. Great value.
They aren't the most stylish decor-wise, but they're impeccably tidy and perfectly appointed. Recently upgraded and spacious with remarkably comfortable beds. Very clean and freshly-scented with all the expected amenities, good quality linens and towels and decent flat screen cable television.
The manager is an absolute delight as are the rest of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble from arranging late check-outs whenever possible to assisting with accommodations and giving directions or suggestions on area attractions.
There appear to be residents living long-term in the venue, which isn't attractive to some of the other guests. However, no problems have been reported.
At some point, every hotel needs a renovation, and that time has come and gone for this one. Even so, the superior cleanliness and level of service do make up for a lot.
There are a variety of noises which might keep you awake, from the traffic passing outside to the loud pipes and refrigerator buzzing. Bring your earplugs.
