The always checked on guests, stuck around to chat, and even spent the night sipping wine while having conversation with the guests. They are extremely accommodating and truly one of a kind!
The details of this Victorian inspired B&B are loved by previous guests. It is filled with the owners beautiful artworks. The house is a bit crowded but is filled with interesting things that are acquired over a lifetime. This charming old Victorian home is converted to several rooms with beautiful king beds and gorgeous linens and comforters.
Most guests are delighted by the location of this property. It has an excellent site near the beach, Boardwalk Park, and downtown. Previous guests said this is the best place to stay in Santa Cruz because of its amazing location!
Because of the many bits and pieces and artworks of this place, guests commented that it needs good cleaning. Although the bedrooms were fine, it was the shelves, artworks, and decors that needed cleaning.
Guests were upset to see the poor condition of the bathrooms. It looked as though it was not cleaned for weeks. The towels smelled musty, shower curtains were mouldy and only toiletries provided were a communal bar soap, men's facial wash and hand soap.
Aside from limited choices, the breakfast food was not deliciously prepared. It consisted of merely fruit, toast, and tasteless scrambled eggs. There was no gourmet coffee; instead, they serve Costco coffee and some orange juice in Trader Joe's cartons.
