The hotel is near main train station and main bus station. The underground station to make your trip through Hamburg to different attractions is only a short five minute walk away. The hotel is in the neighborhood of St. Georg, offering a varied nightlife and restaurants and shopping experiences. Some guests felt some of the surrounding streets were a bit seedy, but they can be easily avoided.
Many guests enjoyed their interactions with staff and felt that they were provided great customer service. The staff is there to help if you would like to get tickets, book a tour or need recommendations and directions for the city and speak English well.
As this is an old building, the hotel does not provide an elevator. You might want to keep that in mind if you are not fond of walking steps. Alternatively, you can ask for a ground floor room.
