Cay Sun Beach is an apartment complex offering holiday accommodation close to the beach in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. There are 150 units, grouped around outdoor pools, in landscaped gardens. There are one and two bedroom apartments, all with equipped kitchenettes including a fridge, a microwave, a two ring hob and a kettle. The complex has a spa, a fitness centre, a tennis court and a games room with a pool table. There is a separate children’s pool and play area and several outdoor pools for adults. Free parking is offered. There is a family entertainment programme provided here. Self-catering facilities are provided in the apartments. There is also a restaurant, a snack bar and a lounge bar in the premises. Cay Sun Beach is close to the beach. It is also accessible for the Marina Rubicon and various bars and restaurants, some offering live entertainment.

Friendly staff.

Guests here find the staff very friendly, helpful and dedicated to giving the guests an enjoyable stay. Some guests were pleased that the staff remembered them from previous visits and were happy to welcome them back.

Many guests were impressed with the location, which they felt was excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and the local market (Wednesdays and Sundays).

Renovations going on when guests were present.

Some guests were disappointed to find that renovations were going on during their stay. One of the pools nearby was taped off without explanation, and construction and renovation was going on near the apartments which caused a lot of noise and disturbance

Although hotel publicity states that there is entertainment for the entire family, many of the guests expressed annoyance that this is in theory rather than practice. There are children’s activities but entertainment for the grown-ups was not available as
