Carters by the sea is an apartment styled complex consisting of 10 studio suites with a contemporary european decor. Situated across from the Tasman Sea, Carters Beach is 5km from Westport town on the Northern West Coast of the South Island. All rooms have either a balcony or a deck providing a degree of privacy. Built in 2014 to a high earthquake standard, Carters by the sea is totally soundproof, double glazed and North facing. Each room has a kitchen, ceiling fan, luxurious beds and flat screen TV's. There is a bar and restaurant next door overlooking the sea open for breakfast, lunch and dinner all year round (except Xmas day) as well as numerous food outlets 5 minutes away in Westport town. Carters by the sea is a 10 minute drive from Cape Foulwind and the spectacular Lighthouse Clifftop Walkway and the Tauranga Bay Seal Colony and ocean lookout. The historic Denniston area and incline dating back to 1890 is 20 minutes to the North of Carters Beach. Carters Beach is halfway between the Glaciers and the Tasman Bays and is 2.5 hours from Hanmer. Carters by the sea provides the ideal location for a few days stay while exploring the Northern West Coast from Punakaiki to Karamea.
