Although it is located near a busy road, providing easy access for exploring the highlands, previous guests of Campfield House were surprised at the peace and quiet they experienced during their stay.
The majority of guests were pleased with the service and value for money received. Overall guests reviewed the beds as comfortable, the amenities adequate and the breakfast plentiful, making for a pleasant stay.
Almost all of the guests raved about the views of Loch Linnhe from the property’s location. Many of the surrounding bed and breakfasts do not offer such stunning views and so this was highly appreciated by previous visitors.
A few guests, while they did not have overriding negative comments, described their stay as merely average. Some expressed slight disappointment at the location as it proved to be too far to walk into Fort William’s city centre.
In some instances, a few guests did not find the host of Campfield House to be very hospitable. Although it is nice to have a personal choice for cooked breakfast, some guests felt the manner in which this was asked right upon arrival was rather abrupt.
Some guests found the rooms a bit on the small side and found the small bathroom sinks to be rather inconvenient, but these were minor complaints about an otherwise enjoyable stay.
