Popular seaside village location

Guests were upbeat about this hotel's village location about five minutes' drive from the A595 main road connecting west Cumbria and Carlisle. It was well-positioned for access to the southern and western parts of the breathtaking Lake District National Park and offered easy pedestrian access to the sandy beach, golf course and Seascale railway station for trains along the Cumbrian Coast Line. Staff and contractors at the nearby Sellafield nuclear site appreciated the way this property was a short drive away.


Many clean and comfy rooms faced the sea

The fantastic Irish Sea views went down well with guests who could even see the Isle of Man on clear days. Many reviewers said they found the rooms to be well-appointed, well-cleaned and comfortable, making them just fine for a quiet seaside getaway. Several visitors remarked that they liked the way this period property was full of character and had been sympathetically modernized.


Good breakfast and restaurant food
