Cacha Hotel (Bangkok, Thailand)

The hotel's décor is outstanding and definitely worth a mention. Splashing colours and beautifully drawn shapes and figures adorn the walls. Murals and motifs and ethnic decorations are everywhere and looks ravishing. The setting creates a special experience and will certainly stick out in your mind. It will probably one of the first things you mention when talking about the hotel to others. The thrilling union of the contemporary look with traditional touches is breathtaking.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. It's great for the price. You get a kettle for coffee and tea and water too. The wood floors make the room feel fresh and clean. The hotel lobby area and kitchen are pleasant. You also get a free beverage and a Mac computer to use.

The TV is quite decent and they provide foreign channels.

You may or may not like the location depending upon your preferences. There are plenty of massage parlours, convenience stores, and street vendors selling food. In other words, it's busy. You may find quite a bit of construction going on in the area as well. The BTS station is a bit far; however, it's fine if you don't mind a bit of a walk. The noise can get on your nerves as the hotel is near the very busy Petchburi road.

There seems to be some type of clandestine action going on when it comes to taxis. For some reason, they don't want to pick you up and the hotel does not arrange transportation!

The food leaves a lot to be desired and the staff seem a bit distant. Thankfully, if you are an English speaker, they do speak some English. However, smiles and cordial greetings are lacking.
