Cabier Ocean Lodge is situated between two bays on the south eastern coast of Grenada in the Caribbean. The island is known for rain forests and magnificent waterfalls. All of the rooms have a private balcony or terrace and bathroom. Each room is equipped with mosquito nets, safety deposit boxes, beach towels, beach chairs and hammocks. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all public areas and some accommodations, snorkelling, diving trips, nature walks, taxi service and tailor-made tours for guests. The on-site restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and supper. The on-site lounge bar offers drinks and cocktails. Guests can also enjoy a cook-up on the beach. Guests can go snorkelling over the reefs right of the hotels beach or go hiking in the rainforests to view the waterfalls. The international airport in the capital city of St. George’s is a minutes’ drive away.
The Cabier Ocean Lodge is fantastic for guests who want to get away for a while. You can swim in the sea and enjoy the waterfalls without bumping into other tourists. The gardens of the lodge are beautifully kept and fragrant.
The chef at the on-site restaurant is fantastic, he cooks your food to your specifications and he is happy to recommend certain dishes. He is also a great character and brings life to the restaurant. The food itself is fresh and tasty, the vegetables are grown at the lodge itself.
The owners of the lodge offer a tailor-made tour service. They will set up a tour for you to incorporate everything that you want to see. The guide is knowledgeable and easy to get along with.
Although most guests enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, some felt that Cabier Ocean Lodge is a little too isolated. You have to drive roughly minutes to get to town where you can do your shopping, sightseeing and eating at restaurants. The road down to the lodge is quite rough.
Some guests were quite bothered by the mosquitoes. The windows do not have insect guards on them however you are provided with mosquito nets and insect repellent.
