Hotel Ca Sa Padrina is a small hotel in the very heart of Palma de Mallorca, putting it within walking distance many of the towns amenities and attractions. The six rooms are basic, but comfortably furnished with lovely antique beds. Each has a relaxing spa-bath, air conditioning, minibar and flat screen TV. This is a very small establishment. It has no on-site reception, but the staff are reachable by telephone. Unfortunately there is no Wi-Fi, so guests are advised to make their own arrangements. There are no dining facilities at the hotel, but it is so centrally situated that there are any number of great options in the surrounding streets. The bustling Palma Port is just 400 yards’ away, as are the beautiful Santa Eulalia Church and the useful El Corte Ingles Shopping Centre.
Ca Sa Padrina is situated in a side street right in the centre of Palma. While it is not exactly described as quiet, it very certainly is described as an amazing location. Guests love the fact that they can walk to restaurants, bars, the port and so many other places in central Palma. This is one place where a car is definitely not required.
The hotel has an honesty bar in the mini-lobby, where guests can prepare their own drinks and deposit the charge in an honesty box. Several guests were tickled pink by this.
While most concede that facilities are very basic indeed, in the next breath they state that at the price they paid it is impossible to find anything else in central Palma. They were certainly very happy with the value they received.
This is a quirky place with just six rooms, and is run by staff from a nearby hotel. While some liked this, many found it just a little odd, and would have felt more at ease if there had been hotel staff on-site. All do mention, however, that staff members are easily reachable by telephone.
This is quite a common complaint. There are several comments that sound travels not just from one room to another, but indeed from one room to all the other rooms.
This is not a suitable place for guests with mobility problems. There is no lift, and the stairs are described as incredibly steep and narrow.
