Venice’s Major sites easily reachable.

From Ca’ Fortuny, San Marco, the Rialto Bridge and the Gallery of Academy are all easy pickings, while the neighbourhood is also home to many quality bars and restaurants.

There must be something in the Venetian water — the staff members are all incredibly welcoming, speak English very well and are well-informed as well.

Rooms are spacious… and that jacuzzi.

Most bathrooms have a jacuzzi, which guests have loved to wind down in after a day of pounding the streets. The size of the rooms has also been popular, with the big beds and cleanliness also being high points.

Can be a little too warm.

Despite having air conditioning, a few instances of not being able to use this have meant guests have had to leave the window open, inviting noise and mosquitoes.

While some found Ca' Fortuny’s rooms to be a little worn and simply aged, rather than charmingly old-fashioned, most said it was well worth staying and some advised the fussy to look elsewhere — leaving more for others to enjoy.
