positive:

Great staff and great meals are a delightful bonus.

The staff are easy and lovely to deal with, and put everything they can into providing excellent customer service. Meals are higher priced than other places, but well worth it due to local ingredients, ample portions, and skillful preparation.

positive:

A wonderful indulgent home away from home feeling.

Burythorpe House is your home away from home, but at a higher level. Comfortable beds, pleasant décor, and a pampering atmosphere indulge the senses. It's the type of place where it's not surprising if you remain on the grounds during your stay.

negative:

It's too remote and requires taxis for sightseeing.

While many will appreciate how tucked away the hotel is, some find it too remote. Taxi service may be required to get around, so should be considered when deciding if this is the right place to vacation at.

negative:

Food and service are not always at their best.

The food is sometimes less than its high reputation, including doubt as to its freshness and onsite preparation. Service too, can sometimes be abrupt or not as well regarded as hoped for.
