Hotel Budget Host Inn Charleston (Charleston, USA)

Ask for one of the back rooms, which overlook the Kanawha River. The view is quite beautiful.

Budget Host Inn provides simple accomodations but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi works very well. Parking is convenient, just outside your room. The hotel is situated next to Interstate 77 and 64, convenient for travel. Downtown is a short drive away, just across the river.

The staff is friendly, welcoming and accomodating. They're willing to make recommendations and provide directions.

Guests thought the location is a bit out of town. You'll need a car to get there around. Also, the hotel entrance is a bit tricky and easy to miss, so keep an eye out.

The hotel needs a facelift, on the exterior as well as the rooms. Plumbing issues are a problem with poor drains and lack of hot water. Many rooms also come off as stuffy but that can be resolved with an open window or by turning on the AC. Several guests were put off by the look of the hotel from the outside but were pleasantly surprised when they entered. You may be lucky though, as some of the rooms have been recently renovated.

The rooms do not have a coffee machine, kettle or microwave. However, there is morning coffee in the lobby.
