Most guests agree that the beds are extremely comfortable and linens are kept clean. Guests said they slept through the night with no problems, particularly noting that the views from the rooms were spectacular. Guests also commented that the bedrooms are clean and a very good size for a comfortable stay.
Many guests said that the bar and lounge area is decorated in a warm, inviting way. The cosy fireplace, friendly bar staff, and reasonably priced drinks make it an excellent area to relax.
By far the most common positive thing guests have to say about Broughton Craggs is that the grounds and gardens are beautiful and fun to explore. Guests also commented that the general area is equally stunning. If you like scenery and wildlife, it's the perfect place to stay.
Foods that are supposed to be hot are often served on cold dishes, making them lukewarm before they get to the table. Several guests also reported that staff members were a bit rude when they tried to request that their food be heated properly.
Many guests said that they were disappointed by the fact that breakfast is not served early enough in the morning. Likewise, guests said that being unable to have dinner after 8:00 at night was inconvenient as well.
Several guests commented that certain aspects of the hotel need to be updated. Some guests had difficulty figuring out how to use the older showers. Many guests were also upset about the state of the carpets, saying that they were both an outdated style and well-worn.
