Hotel Bravo Mare (Playa Bavaro, Dominican Republic)

The hotel is very close to the beach so you can enjoy the view of the lovely waters. There are many restaurants and coffee shops within easy reach including two that are in the same building as the hotel.

If you want to explore the Bavaro area, you can either use a bus or take one of the many motorcycle taxis nearby. If you have your own car, the hotel also offers free parking.

There is plenty of space available in the rooms. Which also boast a balcony with a view.

Some parts of the hotel are a bit dated, and it's starting to show. There are a lot of problems with the amenities: You will find the A.C. isn't always working, and you may not get hot water on certain days. There are quite a few technical issues, too; some rooms may be missing a light bulb or two.

It seems the rooms are not cleaned every day, and you may have to watch out for stray hairs in the bedsheets. The staff doesn't respond to your issues as quickly as they should, which can partly be due to the language barrier (most personnel speak Spanish only). There will also be a few issues when it comes to payment, so you might want to be cautious just in case you're charged twice.

For the rooms facing the nearby street, there can be a bit of noise during the night. There are many other commercial properties near the beach, some of which can get unbearably noisy.
