Guests loved that this property was once a 16th-century townhouse, and appreciated how efforts were made to retain as many of the original details as possible. Furthermore, they said the rooms were very nicely renovated, so they met expectations for modern conveniences.

Guests reported being able to walk to many of the area's points of interest from the hotel. They also said there were many places to eat nearby, which consistently made them feel that the hotel was well placed to help them enjoy their surroundings.

There were many complaints that the hotel management should do something to improve the room lighting because it is so inadequate. Even when guests took advantage of natural lighting to supplement the room lights, they still found the environment was very dim.

Unless you are very familiar with the streets in the area, it's probably best not to travel to the hotel in your own car. Guests who took that approach often got lost on the side streets and were overwhelmed because the streets are also very narrow.

From time to time, guests commented that for the price they paid for breakfast, they would have liked a larger variety of options. Some guests decided to eat offsite instead.
