ABOUT THE BUNGALOWS Blue Earth Bungalows is a budget friendly beach accommodation located a step away to the white sandy beach in Jambiani, Zanzibar. It’s about 50 km from Kisauni airport and 40km from ferry terminal in stone town about one hour drive to the property. The Bungalows are ideal for guests travelling with family for leisure or business with Free Wi-Fi available. We speak your language! There are four bungalows with two separate private rooms in each and two Seafront beach bandas equal to ten rooms and can accommodate up to 30 persons, all the rooms are equipped with safety boxes, cupboards, mosquito net, hot water, private bathroom and terrace with a sea view/garden. In each room one extra bed can be added for an extra charge. All rooms feature ceiling fans and some air conditioning, rooms are simply decorated and large enough to be comfortable. The room's price includes breakfast. For lunch and dinner our restaurant is also ready for your needs. In each room we have the bathroom en suite, mosquito net, and Swahili style double bed. Some of the rooms can accommodate three to four persons. STANDARD DOUBLES: 55 USD Each room comes with a zanzibari style double bed, a private bathroom, ceiling fans, safety box, cupboard, hot water, mosquito nets, and balcony with garden partial sea view. TRIPLE ROOMS: 70 USD Each room comes with a king-size and single bed, a private bathroom, ceiling fans, safety box, cupboard, hot water, mosquito nets and terrace with garden view or partial sea view. QUADRUPLE ROOMS: 85 USD Each room comes with two queen size beds, a private bathroom, ceiling fans, safety box, cupboard, hot water, mosquito nets and verandas with sea view. ACTIVITIES Many activities such as local fishing, village tour, snorkeling, prison island, help with arrangements to diving and kite surfing trips. DOLPHIN TOURS this full day excursion will take you to the southern part of Zanzibar about one and half an hour driving from the historic stone town. After getting there we take a motorized boat so as to reach the dolphin zone for about five to ten minutes. After swimming and playing with the very friendly dolphins for several hours you will have automatically been given a chance of admiring the wonderful coral reef, Variety of colored fishes and other attractive marine creatures through snorkeling. After taking lunch and shower you will be spoiling yourself on a white sandy beach with beach relaxation before getting back on board for a trip back to the hotel. Under the Leadership of the third Sultan of Zanzibar, just after the abolition of slave trade in 1873, the prison for intending to keep recalcitrant prisoners was constructed to keep the standing name “PRISON ISLAND". However, the Island was then used as the quarantine station of all of east African countries following the Outbreak of cholera disease along the coast of East African coast where the victims were collected in different parts before being sent to changuu Island for further treatment.
