The staff here is professional, friendly and helpful, with a great customer service attitude above and beyond expectation. This has been reported several times. This refers to reception staff, housekeeping staff and restaurant staff. Not only do they fulfil their duties, but they are ready to help and guide guests in getting the best out of their stay in Portland. A guest who was pregnant and traveling with a small child was absolutely overwhelmed with how supportive and helpful the staff here was.

The hotel is in a good location for access to the freeway and is just fifteen minutes' drive from downtown Portland, so it has access to all that the city has to offer, such as the tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping.

The bar here is really good - craft beers are on tap and there are happy hour specials at certain times. Another plus point here is the great coffee served at breakfast time.

Some guests found during their stay that they were unable to get hot water, but had to make do with a warm, rather than a hot shower.

The Wi-Fi signal has been found, at times, to be rather weak and unstable. This could be an inconvenience for guests for whom Internet connectivity is vital.

Some have admitted that the hotel has a rather dated look and could certainly do with a refurbishment. Others worried that while the look was dated, the hotel was clean and comfortable and felt that after refurbishment, it might become too expensive.
