Hotel Best Western Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, USA)

Located just off Interstate 95, the Best Western Fredericksburg gives guests the convenience of commuting easily to places around the town and places close by. It is set between Richmond and Washington DC and close to many of the area's attractions. Close to the park, lake and theme park, guests find the place relaxing and attractive. Guests on business trips also find the hotel ideal as it five kilometers from the Spotsylvania Town Center. Other places within five kilometers distance are Fredericksburg Battlefield Park and Kenmore Plantation.

The 108 rooms with a recent renovation are equipped with 32" flat screen television, microwave, minifridge and tea or coffee maker. Rooms are all air conditioned and guests have the added facility of making free local and long distance calls.

The smoke free hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool. Staff at the front desk is present 24 hours. Guests can avail of laundry facilities onsite. Breakfast served is full American and complimentary. The hotel has a huge parking area which can accommodate large vehicles including buses. Parking is a complimentary amenity and Wi-Fi access is free in the rooms as well as in public areas.

The rooms have a musty smell. The bathtubs are unclean and have mold in them. Toiletries provided are not new as used shampoo bottles are kept. Carpets are old and torn in certain areas of the room. Paint is faded and peeling off from the ceiling. Furniture is old and damaged. Rooms open from the exterior of the hotel and there are no interior hallways.

The swimming pool water is cold and too deep for small children. The pool deck is very slippery and the bottom and sides of the pool has scum.

The breakfast included could do with more variety and needs improvement in quality as well.
