Hotel Best Western Dartmouth Inn at Hanover (Lebanon, USA)

They make check in very easy and are so helpful that ... they can even help you save money. The hotel is conveniently close to a shopping center and to the Highway

There are elements here that are distinctly dated, but everything seems to work, so no real problem. One quirky attraction is the free popcorn on offer!

The main thing, when staying in any hotel, is the room itself. Rooms here are clean and nicely decorated with a comfy bed … so that's fine.

There's a constant smell of stale smoke - a real deterrent for non-smokers. It seems that staff members contribute to this with front desk staff often taking a smoking break away from the desk. At night, fellow guests all seem to be shouting at each other and arguing. This sets neighboring dogs off and they are then barking continuously. Arrivals seem to take the hotel by surprise, a situation not helped by a computer booking system which is, apparently, a mystery to them.

Possibly just a ‘one off' situation but the heating in the room ‘trips out' after a few minutes (*circuit overloaded?) and there are no members of staff with the knowledge required to fix it.

You won't have any problem making it to breakfast. Cleaning staff start very early and make a deafening noise, so you're bound to be up and about. The real ‘turn-off' at breakfast is the sight of dead flies in the breakfast room. Not nice.
