The property is just 15-minute drive from the Tiantandongmen Subway Station and the popular Temple of Heaven. Many guests loved the fact that they were able to stay near the subway station, as commuting via the train in Beijing is very cheap.

The free breakfast provides guests with a wide variety of good foods, such as fresh fruits, cereals, bacon, eggs, juices, and hot drinks. While there is Chinese selections for breakfast, guests from the West aren't disappointed at there are also foods that are familiar to the Western taste.

Many guests liked the nice touches present in the rooms in the form of complimentary products, such as bathrobes, knitted underwear, slippers, and bountiful supplies of toiletries. Bottled water is also free for each day.

Majority of the complaints centred on the private bathrooms not having doors. Nothing separates the bathrooms and the rooms themselves, which could be a problem for guests staying in a room with a co-traveller whom they are not yet comfortable sharing their most private moments with.

Some of the staff barely speaks English, and guests had to wait for a staff whom they can communicate with well. There were also instances when the staff at the desk reception failed to explain things that are important for the guests to know.

Many previous guests felt that they were tricked by the modern pictures at the hotel's Website. According to them, rooms are actually dingy, rusty and worn-down. There are also cracks on the floor and the wall, while on other rooms the carpets are heavily stained.
