The property's setting is ideal according to guests, as it is right at the front of Hong Lim Complex, where various food stalls and dining options are located. The MRT is also reachable from the building by foot, which is great for those who wanted to go to farther parts of the city. Moreover, the Chinatown is also proximate.

Guests are grateful to find a property so affordable, especially in Singapore where accommodations are usually very pricey. The property ensures a good value for money, offering complimentary services like Internet access, a breakfast, and an easy access to most of the city's attractions.

Many of the previous guests commented that the property felt cosy and much like their homes. There were signs throughout the establishment which guided guests to wash their own dishes and how to utilise the public kitchen properly. Eating meals are also allowed inside the rooms.

Guests felt that the bathrooms were humid and too warm, probably because there weren't any exhaust fans and air conditioners. Others took note of the mould and mildew in the soap dispensers and the tiles of the bathroom.

Not everyone loved the mattresses in this property. A number of guests complained that the spring bed was too thin and they were able to feel the very spring of the bed. Others felt that the pillows were too thin and hard, and very uncomfortable for sleeping.

The complimentary Internet service was usable, however it was not high-speed, and many guests had encountered a few problems upon using it. Therefore, guests had to either visit a coffee shop or stay at the lobby for faster Internet access.
